Care & Cleaning

*Caring for your jewelry

It is always a good idea to remove your jewelry before showering, bathing, or swimming. Chlorinated water can react with metals (especially silver) causing color changes and softer stones can be damaged by harsh soaps and other chemicals.

Please remove your jewelry before performing manual tasks such as kitchen work, household cleaning, gardening, and activities such as weight lifting and rock climbing. This will help avoid daily damage to your pieces and ultimately prolong the life of your jewelry.

Avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals, lotions, and perfumes.

The best way to avoid tarnish on your jewelry is to wear it! Your skin’s oils actually help to keep your jewelry clean and maintain its brilliance.

*Cleaning

You can soak your jewelry in warm water for with mild soap for 10-20 minutes then gently use a soft toothbrush to clean off any built up oils or dirt. Dry thoroughly before wearing or storing to avoid tarnish.

*Storing

Sterling silver is prone to developing oxidation over time from exposure to natural oils and moisture.

Store each jewelry piece separately in an airtight environment such as a plastic bag with an anti-tarnish strip to maintain luster and delay tarnishing.
